Finding out your skin type is easy and fast and will help you with choosing the best products for your skin. This, and making sure to do a proper patch test when first trying a product will lead you to receiving the best results possible.
Keep in mind that this is just a general guide. Most of use will have more than one set skin type. Use this to give you an overall idea of what yours may be.

What to do

Wash your face and do not apply any products afterwards. Wait for 2 hours and check for the following signs:

Normal skin

Normal skin will be balanced. Neither dry or oily. It will be nonsensitive and smooth.

Oily skin

Oily skin will be shiny or greasy and my have large pores. This type of skin is usually prone to pimples and or blackheads.

Dry skin

Dry skin will be flaky or dry. This type of skin is usually prone to fine lines and is easily irritated.

Combination skin

Combination skin will be dry in some areas and oily in others. It too, may be easily irritated and may be prone to large pores.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive skin is reactive and easily irritated.
