WHY YOUR CLEANSING BRUSH MAY BE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD

WHY YOUR CLEANSING BRUSH MAY BE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD

Exfoliating devices can be a good addition to your skincare routine, but some of them are just like taking a kitchen scouring pad to your face. According to dermatologists, the main culprits are models with spinning brush heads, which can be overused and actually be irritating.

Devices like these should be used only a couple of times per week for some people and others can skip them completely. The problem is, the stiff bristles can damage delicate capillaries, causing microabrasions, excessive dryness, irritation, redness, and sensitivity. If any of these warning signs occur, you should either alter or stop using the brush all together.

If you'd like to try a more gentle option, our exfoliating pads will do the trick! You can choose our Foyo Face Exfoliating Pad, made with soft silicone bristles that are non-abrasive, or our Foyo Face Cleansing Puff, made of soft terrycloth. Your skin will thank you for it!
