HOW THE FOYO FACE NAME WAS BORN

HOW THE FOYO FACE NAME WAS BORN

Hi everyone! It's Vee Bell here, the founder of Foyo Face. I'm dropping by the blog today to answer your questions about our name. We receive lots of great feedback about our name, as well as questions from our beloved FOYO famwanting to know how we came up with it. It's actually kind of funny.

As some of you may know, we are a family owned and operated business. The name came about while my two daughters and I were creating formulations for our products. The conversation went a little something like this:

ME:  We need to come up with a name for this.

ALAYSIA:  Is this product going to be multi-functional? Like, can I use it for my body?

ME: No, it's fo yo face.

JADY: Why not? My hands are dry. Can I use it for my hands?

ME: NO! We're making it fo yo face, period!

At this point we all kind of looked at each other, and squealed, "FOYO FACE"! As you know, anytime you and your besties (my daughters are my besties) squeal something in unison, it's signed, sealed and delivert lol!  So, here we are, Foyo Face!

If you look at our logo, you can see how we transliterated our conversation to reflect in it. During our discussion about the name, I said, "It's fo yo face, period," and our logo has a period at the end as well. We thought we were being clever :)

Leave a little love in the comments! I'd love to hear your feedback, questions or even a shared story about how you tried coming up with a name for something.

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo,

LOVE this story! My daughters are also my besties and we recently started our family business so your story is not only super cute, it is relatable and authentic. I was already interested in your products, but this story spoke to my heart! I am excited for your family and looking forward to trying FoYo Face. I LOVE the word play and the (.) for PERIOD is cute, clever and classic black mom speak!
